The Tale of Two Kitchens

Happy Monday darling hearts.

Jus & I are trying to stay in bed as long as possible today so I thought I'd tell you a little story.

In the 1950s two sisters lived in the Behemoth and turned it into a duplex.

One sister liked pink.

And one sister liked yellow. But the family that bought the Behemoth from them decided to paint it white & red.

To get from one kitchen to the next you had to walk through a teensy hallway.

For the life of us we couldn't understand why on earth the three families that have come in the 20 years since the sisters lived in the Behemoth have never bothered to change the kitchen situation.

Yesterday that changed. My wonderful parents got a crew together and with the help of my grandpa the next thing I knew the wall looked like this.

And then like this.

And then all hell broke loose.

So there you have it, we have a long way to go but we've got a start. And just for comparison's sake, here was the same view when we bought the Behemoth 4 months ago.

PS I love that Jus is as crazy as I am. He's the best.
