My Best Books

So earlier in the week I told you I'd give you my must read list so here's the first part, I have a feeling this post could go on and on and on.
You see, I'm what you'd call a reader, I go from one book to another and it's not unusual for me to read a book in a week (over the summer I read six books on our week long vacation). So I like to think I have some sort of knowledge when it comes to what constitutes a good book, and these are good books.

Number the Stars by Lois Lowry
I had to include this one, I think I read it ten times in 4th grade.

The Story of Edgar Sawtelle by David Wroblewski
This is the best book I have read in a long time, maybe ever, if you haven't read this one yet make it your next read. At over 500 pages Edgar might be daunting but it's worth it.

Edwards tells a great story of family, secrets, and love

The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
I'll always choose a book over a movie, this book made me want to wash my hair with honey.

I've read this book 3 times and absolutely love the wonderfully flawed characters Wells creates and the book is about a million times better than the movie.

The Book of Bright Ideas by Sandra Kring
I think Kring's books are written for teenagers but this is one of my all time favorite books. I really really love it.

All the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling
Duh.

You've probably seen the movie PS I Love You, which is Ahern's first book. Her other books are filled of human emotion and, for the most part, are fairly romantic, but are very enjoyable reads.

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Maybe one the best book I've read.

The Lace Reader by Brunonia Barry
I love the history and suspense of The Lace Reader.

The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
I'm always up for a good love story.

The History of Love by Nicole Krauss
Without a doubt the best book I've ever read.

I don't doubt there will be lists of best books to follow, but I have a feeling this will keep you busy for a while.

My Love for Today: Jus, who brought home dinner after yoga last night when I was absolutely starved.
My Happiness for Today: It's the weekend, HOORAY! We're going to kick some booty on getting some stuff done this weekend...plus we'll probably eat some sushi!

Have you read The Glass Castle yet? If not, go pick it up...it is amazing!I also loved Water for Elephants, and I'm currently reading The Lovely Bones (in preparation for the movie coming out later this year)!
