My Want to Read List

Sorry the post is a little late today, Layla & I had to go to the vet so we're getting a late start around here. I hope your weekend was great, ours was pretty awesome, Jus's mom and I had planned a surprise party for my lover's 25th birthday.
I thought I'd start this week off with a list of the books I've been dying to read...

Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger
I read The Time Traveler's Wife over the summer and loved it so I can't wait to read Niffenegger's new book.

The Lost Symbol by Dan Brown
I know this is the popular choice but I've read Brown's other books and like that they are quick reads and tend to make me think of things I haven't.

The Gift by Cecelia Ahren
I first found Ahren through her book PS I Love You, which was also made into a movie, I've since read all of her other books and enjoy them immensely.

Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte
I tend to read contemporary authors and so have missed out on a lot of classic authors. This book is my step grandma's favorite, plus it's available in the Penguin Classics clothbound series, and you know how I've been dying to get my hands on those!

World Without End by Ken Follet
I've actually got this one sitting next to my bed and will probably be my next read. I read Follet's The Pillars of the Earth this summer and while it was sort of a slow read it was an amazing book.

I've read two of Lamb's other books, She's Come Undone and I Know This Much is True. Lamb is a wonderful storyteller and really captures human emotion.

Thunderstruck by Erik Larson
I don't normally go for historical nonfiction but I read Larson's The Devil in the White City a couple of years ago and have been itching to read Thunderstruck ever since.

Have a Little Faith by Mitch Albom
For me Albom's books are the ultimate quick read, the stories are interesting, the books are short, and the characters are captivating, I can usually read these in a couple of hours so it's hard to not want to read them.

Maybe I'll give you a list of my all time favorites later in the week, but this is probably enough books to keep you & me busy for a while. There are so many books in the world it's hard to choose a new one so as you can tell I tend to stick to authors I've already read.
Which books are you excited to read?

My Love for today: The weather today, it's been so warm all weekend!
My Happiness for today: I had my first Etsy sale over the weekend!

Can I just say I pretty much love your "to read" list? I just got The Lace Reader and will begin that when I'm done with The Lovely Bones :) Your favorites generally end up being mine as well, all I have to do is see what you read and that becomes my next book!
