Happy Earth Day

I know that Thursdays are usually my roundup days but I wanted to focus on something a little more important today. Today is Earth day and no matter where you stand in regard to global warming I think that we can all agree that our Earth has given us some wonderful things. Earth, wind, water, fire, food & sunshine yes, but also chirping birds and beautiful flowers.

I'm going to do a couple of things to lower my carbon impact today. I'm going to walk to work, try to spend less time on the computer, and I'm going to make this post shorter than my usual roundups in an effort to keep you from spending too much time on the computer too.

But first I ask you to please watch this video. I first saw it a couple of weeks ago and it has haunted me ever since. I think that as consumers we don't necessarily think of our impact on the rest of the world and it's important to see that what we do affects the world more than we know.

I always keep reusable tote bags in my car in an effort to cut down on my plastic bag usage and urge you to do the same, it's the least we can do.
