Celebrating

Happy Monday!
Thanks for sticking it out with me last week as I spent my nights working on invitations instead of blogging, I missed you all! Our invitations aren't done yet and I'm feeling the pressure, I think that I could quit my job and work on the wedding full time and still feel pressure. As if I need another reason to feel the pressure today marks 2 months till the wedding, luckily it also marks two weeks until my birthday, so I'll try to focus on that and keep plugging away on the invitations.
Today is something much more exciting than 2 months until the wedding and 2 weeks until my birthday, today is my 1st Blogoversary! One year ago today I decided to take my blog reading to the next level and start Adventures in Love & Happiness with this little post.
As I read over my first post it is interesting to see how much our life has changed in the past year. Jus went from being my live in boyfriend to my fiance; we lost Keegan and got Edie; & we're toying with opening our own business instead of me going back to school.
Over the past year I have "met" so many wonderful bloggers and had the opportunity to feature some in my Real People in Love series. I have enjoyed loving, laughing & living with you and I hope you'll stick around cause this ride isn't over!
I decided to start my second year of blogging on the right foot by putting together a giveaway featuring items from our hometown!

My 1st Blogoversary giveaway includes:
A reusable shopping bag from the local bookstore; my favorite caramels from a local candy shop; a vintage green patent leather wallet from a vintage store; a bag of coffee roasted by the local coffee shop; a vintage eyelet hankie from the antique mall; and a sweet vintage teacup from my favorite thrift store.

Here are the rules for entering the giveaway:
Be a follower
Leave a comment telling me something that's changed in your life over the last year

For an extra entry (or two)
Blog or tweet about this giveaway

And be sure to check back every day this week for new giveaway prizes and ways to enter!

PS If you happened to miss it our engagement pictures were featured on Green Wedding Shoes Friday! Hop on over and check it out!

Happy Blogversary!!!

Last year was pretty standard, but THIS year there'll be many changes-- graduating from college and moving back home most specifically!

Happy 1st year! What a lovely idea for a giveaway! In the past year, I married my bald one and finally stood up for myself and quit my abusive job. Good things are around the bend. :)

Happy 1 year! I follow you on Google Reader! This year I have become much more comfortable with where I am in life. I'm happier just being a homebody and working in the garden.

So much has changed in the past year! This day last year I left home to go live on the island of St Thomas for a while. It was a huge leap of faith and the scariest thing I have ever done in my life. Knowing I wouldn't see my family for 5 months was so hard!

Then when I came home in January I enrolled in my last class to finsih my associate of science degree.

Thank you for hosting a giveaway!

Aw, happy blogiversary! how exciting! the biggest thing that has changed in the last year is that I am now a married lady! also, even though we just hit our one year anniversary, I still can't sign my last name without cringing at the sight of it - it's so sloppy!

I'll be spending the weekend sleeping (a lot!) catching up on some reading and seeing my boyfriend's band play a festival!
