Cold as Ice

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend.
Ours was a blustery, cold, snowy one. Friday we got several inches of snow and I woke Saturday to a wintery wonderland. (Which led me to get this song stuck in my head)
None too sure about the snow

There's little funnier than watching a Basset Hound hop through the snow

While the weather was bad for any productivity that I was inclined to it was perfect for our town's Fire & Ice Festival. This weekend 10 ice carvers carved 60 blocks of ice and I couldn't help but wonder at the designs.
Did you know that each block of ice weighs 300 pounds?

Butterfly

Dragonfly

The ice cream soda at my parent's restaurant

And my favorite, a barrel of monkeys

What did you do this weekend?

Those are so cool! That reminds me of something that would happen in Gilmore Girls. They always had cute town events like that!

we're supposed to get snow tonightand tomorrow and i can't wait. it isn't supposed to be much, but i still love any snow i can get!

edie looks so cute in the snow! our old basset hound shifter was so funny because even when we didn't have much, we'd still almost lose him, except for his tail which would always be up!

It seems like everywhere else in the country is getting snow except for where I am.

The ice sculpture carving looks like fun. It reminds me of the Gilmore Girls episode when they entered the snowman contest.
