Little List

1. Yesterday I had oodles of stuff to do but all I wanted was to continue dining al fresco and attempting to catch up on blogs.

2. I did manage to get some work done in the garden. Our yard is a jungle, seriously, flower beds have more trees than flowers in them. I pulled out lots of trees while trying to keep the peony bush in tact. I broke a trowel & a shovel in the process.

3. I've decided I'm not eating nearly enough ice cream lately. In the summer I require ice cream a couple of times a week and so far we haven't had nearly enough.

4. Yesterday after lunch I decided to stop by my favorite local boutique. Imagine my surprise when I walked in and saw 20 people in line. It turns out they were having a 50% off sale. I got a dress & a belt and while I was waiting to check out I decided on an impulse to buy a dress I hadn't tried on. Turns out it's actually a shirt.

5. Baby fever has been running rampant. I love to think about baby names, hold babies, and look at cuties. We're still not ready for one of our own but they're just so. damn. cute! PS If you want to have a baby name conversation I'm down. I love love love talking about baby names and Jus & I have some unusual favorites.

6. I think I'm getting sick again. I'm so tired of being sick, I'm ready to be (and stay) healthy.

7. On the bright side the weather is starting to feel like summer. Mid seventies yesterday meant that I could garden, wear a dress without tights, & wear sandals, pretty amazing.

8. I started ready Gulliver's Travels a couple of weeks ago but am stuck. I haven't been reading as much as normal and this makes me so sad! Are you reading anything good right now?

9. Along with jean & bra shopping swimsuit shopping is my least favorite thing. And what's worse is that I'm in desperate need of a suit this year. I'm toying with this one (I like the shape & color) but haven't worn a one piece since middle school and don't know if I'm up for it now. Plus it's from Newport News and isn't that a mom store?

10. I really apologize for the fact that I haven't been able to visit all of your lovely blogs lately. I can't believe how busy I am right now (work has been busy and I've got two weddings in the next month plus a garden to weed) I promise I'll try to get back to a normal schedule soon! I love & miss you all!

That swim suit is super cute, I'm needing to go and get another one. And not looking forward to it.
Hope you feel better soon.

i'm literally looking at baby names on www.babynamewizard.com right as we speak. lol. i'm obsessed. i love names and the more original the better. i never give out my girl or boy ultimate faves because i don't want them stolen, but if i was really ballsy, i would do Atlas for a boy.

Cole I will TOTALLY talk baby names with you! It's my obsession!

Also, that bathing suit is super cute. Just be careful of sizes with them - I got a bathing suit from there a few years ago and it was way tinier than I wanted - and I ordered my correct size!

I love the "not eating enough ice cream" mentality. Right there with you on that one, it's time to embrace the season of frozen treats!

I love talking baby names, too! I am probably a good 10 years away from wanting kids, but I have always had a thing for names. :-)

I just read Gulliver's Travels with my book club and it was a little tough to get through. You have to keep in the back of your mind that the book isn't about the character (Gulliver is a totally unbelievable character), but it's a social and political commentary.

reading it alongside a discussion page might help understanding the political climate and the author's background (a priest interested i, but denied from politics)

ps. that swimsuit is rocking, despite the brand!

I hate jeans shopping (actually any pants) the most--at 5'2" most things I try on are either too short once I wash them or too long and need hemming :(

ZINC! Start taking some Cold Eeze (its in your pharmacy by the cough drops). They'll make you feel better, I promise!

And sorry - but I won't talk baby names with you. I'm deathly afraid that if I tell someone our names for our un-conceived children that they will steal them right under our nose. Happened to my brother and his wife. Although I don't really KNOW you, I still like to keep our ideas under wraps. (I'm currently on pins and needles to see what my husbands sister names their soon-to-be daughter!)

I've also been obsessing over baby names recently, even though Matt and I are so not baby-ready. It's just fun!

LOVE the swimsuit! Totally love it.

I envy your garden patch - and ice cream is a must all the time. Perhaps it's time to invest in an ice cream maker?

Baby fever is tough! Luckily lots of my friends and family members have decided to have babies, so hopefully that will hold me over until it's my turn :)

If you're looking for a kick-ass one piece, I suggest this Modcloth one:

http://www.modcloth.com/ModCloth%2FWomens%2FSwimwear/-Beach-Blanket-Bingo-One-Piece-in-Black

I bought it and it totally smoothed out all of my problem areas in the hip/thigh region. I generally wear a size S or XS and I bought the 6, fits great!

I feel you on the Baby Fever...mine sort of ebbs and flows. And YAY for baby name discussions, I LOVE them! Our names (because I'm sure you totally asked...somewhere...):

Abigail Aislynn (pronounced Ashleen, my sister's name)

Amelia Maegwynn (Megan, other sister)

Robert Daniel (husband wants this because he's Robert and my dad is Daniel, so we can call the son R2D2, HA!)

Have a great day :)
