Put a ring on it

Like many pregnant women my fingers have been swelling lately and unfortunately my wedding & engagement ring have stopped fitting.

Several weeks ago I had to put away my beautiful rings, since then my finger has been feeling pretty naked and I miss having something on my finger. Since I still have several months before my rings will fit I decided to buy myself a new wedding ring.

Every once in a while I've found myself wishing that I had branched out a little in my original wedding ring so when it came time to find my replacement I looked for a ring that incorporated everything I had found myself wishing for over the past year and a half.

Something unique, thin & possibly rose gold. I stumbled upon these stackable rings on Etsy and thought that a single ring might be just what I was looking for.

For $20 (including shipping) I now have one of these beauties decorating my left hand, I love how thin the ring is and I've been thinking about switching it to my right hand and adding two more once LBL's born.

Would you buy a new ring just so your hand wouldn't have to be naked during pregnancy?

I think I would have to get a new ring too. Even before I was engaged or met my now husband I wore rings so I think for sure my fingers would feel naked and I like how you went in a different direction!

In Sweden it is common for women to have three gold bands, one for engagement, one for wedding, and the last for a baby. My mother in law wears hers around her neck and it looks really pretty.

I totally would do that! Mine got super tight where I couldn't take it off at the end, but I think it would have been fun to not force it and get a pretty replacement like yours instead. It's so pretty and simple. And you'll have a beautiful meaning behind it as you wear it on your right hand later.
Hope you're feeling better these days!

I have been worried about that. My fingers swell a lot just in hot and humid weather. I'm sure they well swell to the point that my rings won't fit during pregnancy, and I fully intend to buy a replacement. My friend bought some faux diamonds from Kohls when her fingers swelled during pregnancy.

Very pretty, and I love the idea of making it a right hand ring once the baby comes along!

I would definitely get a replacement. And I love that you incorporated a few things that you later realized you wanted in a wedding ring. I felt the same about mine. Great idea!
