When we were in Chicago last weekend we stopped by Urban Outfitters. While we were there I spotted some lovely sparkly feathers that I thought would look fabulous on my Christmas presents.
I thought these would be easy to recreate, but I thought wrong.
I tried spray on glitter and spray on glue followed by glitter and this is what resulted
While they were very glittery they were not so fabulous...and this was when I was about to give up. But then I thought, maybe I'll try one more thing.
So I laid the feather in the glitter and rubbed it around and this is what resulted.
After the feathers were glittery I sprayed them with a bit of hairspray.
*WARNING- Glitter is contagious, don't use it unless you are ok with having glitter all over *
I'll be the first to admit that they very fabulous. I was thisclose to not posting this but I thought what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, so here it is, my not so fabulous DIY project. I'm still planning on topping some of my Christmas presents with these, and I promise, the next DIY project will be better.
