Real People in Love: Jozen & Her Hubby

I am so happy to feature the lovely Jozen of Lola's Girl for this week's Real People in Love. Jozen and her hubby (he's in law enforcement and thus we can't use his name) are high school sweethearts that have grown up and started a family. Jozen's blog is always full of lovely images and I love how in love Jozen & her hubby are with their adorable girls.

How old are you & your hubby?
We are both 31.

How long have you been together?
We have known each other since we were 14, started dating at 17, engaged at 23 and married at 25.

What are your occupations?
I work at a bank part time and do wedding planning. My hubby is in law enforcement.

How did you meet?
We met in high school.
How did you get engaged?
He told me he wanted to take me out for the afternoon and take a few photos near this really pretty lake. While we were walking along the shore, he took a little pouch out of his pocket and told me he had gotten my promise ring back from the jeweller (he had taken it to the jeweler a few days before to get cleaned). I took the pouch from him and shook my ring out, but the ring that dropped out wasn't my promise ring. It was the most beautiful engagement ring ever. He then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him.

Tell us about your wedding day (not necessarily elements but feelings too):
Well, it was pink (of course!) and it was traditional and grand. But it was also sweet, fun and romantic.

Define Love:
Love is the knowledge that God placed my husband on this earth just for me.
What is the toughest part of being in a committed relationship?
I think that all committed relationships are tough. But in our case, since we are parents, the toughest part is making time for "us." Whether the "us" time is as simple as watching a movie together or as grand as a weekend getaway. We always have to keep in mind that it was just 2 of us before it became the 4 of us.

What is the best part?
Being able to share my life with the person who I most love in the entire world.

What is the best day the two of you have had together?
Actually, we have two. The day our first daughter, Zoe was born and the day our second daughter, Pia was born.
What makes you different from other couples?
We have watched each other grow up, actually we have grown up together.

What is your favorite thing to do together?
Teaching our girls new things and watching them experience new things.
Do you have a song?
Sadly, no. We have totally opposite taste in music.

What is the most essential element of making it?
Admit when you are wrong and say sorry.

What are your hopes for the future?
To happily grow old together.
Anything else the world needs to know about love?
Real life fairy tale endings do come true but you and your partner must create your own fairy tale and your own "happily ever after."

Jozen is one of my favorite bloggers because even when she blogs her sweetness shows through. I think it's because she's just a happy person and now we know why. Just look at this beautiful family and the love they have.
