Fah-rye-day

(Say it out loud, it kind of makes sense)

If you follow me on Twitter you know that we spent Wednesday night waiting out a storm. Last Friday when I was in Illinois getting ready for BFF Beth's wedding a bad storm came through our hometown (the same storm that blew windows out of Chicago's Sears Tower!) and Wednesday's storm was just as bad.
An EF 0 (Did you know they even had that low of classification?) tornado touched down three blocks away. Tons of trees were uprooted but luckily the two maples in our front yard stayed put. We lost power for 14 hours but thankfully our house had no damage, it's a little crazy to think of considering what some nearby houses look like.

Needless to say we're thankful our house is ok, our electricity is back on and everyone we know is safe.
Now we're ready for a weekend that will hopefully include lots of sunshine, dancing, and smiling.
What do you have planned for the weekend?

PS I'll send out the Color Me Happy exchange partners this weekend so if you're wishing you had joined send me an email NOW and I'll add you to the list!

Holy cow lady! So glad the house is ok!

I was in Europe when the storm hit but we live right downtown and my hubby said it was insane!!!
